Latest Developments
On the 1st of November 2013, an agreement was signed by Camões, I.P. and MED for the implementation of this project, which terminated in February 2015.
Fitting into the nationwide Mundu Novu Programme, it aimed to introduce information and communication technologies to the education system. In particular, as part of Pillar II (a new education model based on modern content and new teaching models), it aimed for the acquisition, production and development of educational media and its availability to teachers and students as a way of promoting such technology in a pedagogical context. The pilot phase involved testing materials in classes specifically chosen for this purpose, which was later introduced to all classrooms and eventually incorporated into the educational system.
This project focuses on multimedia content in mathematics, physics, biology, the Portuguese language, history and geography up to the 10th, 11th and 12th grades.
MED is working with two institutional partners for the proper implementation of this project, NOSI (Núcleo Operacional para a Sociedade de Informação) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (MESCI).
